Pasifika Disability Creatives Music Project
6 Disabled Creative's stories relayed for song- Phase 1
To bring together six disabled Pasefika participants to Massey University Wellington, to the Fono for a
talanoaga that explores our lived experiences as Pacific disabled people and to develop our narratives
into creative expressions through music. The narratives will explore the importance and the lack of
access to the arts for Pacific disabled people as well, these creative compositions look to challenge cultural perceptions, attitudes, stereotyping and stigma towards our disabled community.
This fono will provide Pasefika disabled participants an accessible creative space that accommodates their disability requirements and supports so they are fully participating and creatively engaged.
